Do you know that computers are a powerful tool in the police activity? Social networks aren’t inherently good or bad: You can use them as tools to solve crimes or commit murders. The police, of course, use it to solve crimes, stop criminals, and arrest people that violates the law, but also in a lot of activities relates with protection of people.

Facebook is an online social networking that is used in computers. Today is now one of the most fertile sources of criminal evidence. Since Facebook was launched it took police and investigators awhile to fully recognize its potential. Since it was initially used only by college students, many of the first incidents where police or campus authorities used Facebook as evidence involved the violation of alcohol policy at specific colleges – however, using Facebook for more serious crimes wasn’t far off. In 2008, a police officer, worked with the University of Cincinnati to identify important gang members using Facebook. This case was one of the first to use social networks for evidence.

Police departments use computers to find in social networks more often than ever criminals. For example, A man in India was recently arrested for trying to sell his grandson on Facebook. Another case is about a British man who stole 130,000 worth of jewelry and abandoned his country. Then returned and posted photos in Facebook and the police caught him. The stories are never-ending. In all of these cases, people and their Internet addictions made it all too easy for the police to unearth their crimes. Computers in these cases make possible that police discover crimes.

Police use computers in different activities. From patrol activity to office work, computers are a valuable tool for making police work more perfect and sophisticate. Computers are used in all the world in police activity updates, traffic alert, road conditions updates, current suspect updates, recent arrest, weather alerts, accidents or collision alerts, crime alerts, investigations updates, safety alerts. Through this quick way of updates and alerts through the use of computers, police can do their work most perfect and provide more timely support in their communities.

Police organizations have also come to rely on computers as a registration form and a means to connect the police information from one department to another department. Not only can store the records of the police and reports data online, but they can also use the computers and hard drives to store thousands of pictures, reports and videos. Computers facilitate mass data storage and online giant allow you require ID suspects anywhere in the country. Computers have become a vital part of security operations in police departments, especially those who also have jail or prison. Computer systems are used in combination with video cameras to provide internal monitoring and to ensure the safety of inmates and officers.

In summary, it is impossible to imagine the police work without a computer. This wonderful device allows updating, record, track, capture and keep criminals in prison. The most important thing is that quickly helps keep safer and protected our communities.
