No one could imagine thirty years ago that computers would be using in all spheres of our life today! The use of computers have changed the life style in several ways. The computer now are cheaper, faster, and smaller and have much memory. Have you ever have thought how they will be use in the future? We are becoming increasingly dependent on computers. They are used in business, in the police department for crime detection and even to plan flights. This dependence on computers is a good thing and people use for many things.
Today computers are used almost everywhere, it is impossible to imagine our life without PCs, Internet, mobile phones and other computer devices. It is reasonable to think in what people look forward to the future of computers. In what field will be computers used for, and what role will play human beings in this world in future?
Computers make our life easier, we can easily get information about any product we plan to buy or place we plan to visit in a second using a personal computer and Internet. Scientists predict that in the nearest future it will be possible to smell a new perfume using the Internet and watch 3D scenes at home like we do in the movie theater. As far as computers in the future, I feel that they are going to play a major role. They will be in everyday life, in everything we do. There will be many areas affected by the wide use of computers. Areas such as: home, work, schools, automobiles, electronics. According to forecasts of HR agencies machines will replace jobs of cashiers, and civil and military pilots. Some corporations in Japan are already selling housewife-robots, which help old people to keep their homes clean.
For humans in the work place, work will become easier. So this means less stress for humans because the computers will be doing all the work. This in turn means that humans will be doing less and less because the computers will be slowly taking over. As for a human going to work, this may only consist of telling a computer what to do all day. Or even from your own home, waking up and telling your computer what to do so you do not even have to go into work. Now for communication with computers, this may get so advanced that your computer may even ask you questions about the work it is doing. So this is where I see computers going as far as work and humans. For humans at home, computers will play a major role in homes. Computers will automatically pull bread in to toast. It will in turn tell you how your food is doing while it is cooking in the microwave and then tell you when it is done. Now to enter your own home you may only have to say “open door”. The computer will automatically scan your voice and unlock the door and let you in.
In conclusion, the future of technology is all about how we choose to use, promote, and take advantage of this incredible resource called computers. Deciding the future we give to the world is our decision to make. Caution must be observed and act with intelligence because the rapidly evolving of technology around us never could become our Achilles heel.
